Bummer that you need to leave that wonderful kitchen! I remember when you and CK moved in…it doesn’t seem three years ago, though! Time flies. Have you thought about buying a condo together?

My dad always says the reason my mom’s cooking tastes so good is because of her secret ingredient: love. Your love of food and wine and dining and entertaining is something you’ll pick up and take with you to the next kitchen. Even if you don’t have a “shiny refrigerator”, your new space will become beloved, for sure.

My sympathies on the move–packing is such a hassle!

I will miss your kitchen too! There were so many things! Mojitos and bacon cupcakes, and bottles and bottles of wine and endless conversations. We will make new fun memories in new fun kitchens. <3

I can relate as we are moving in just two weeks from the place I have known and loved and called home for 6 whole years. The process involves a lot of walking from room to room and missing it before I’ve even left. It’s hard, but home is where your heart is, right? And we’ll build that sense of home again, just somewhere else.

How bad is it that when one looks at an apartment, the kitchen is the first priority (I’m beyond guilty of that when I found my apartment in Philly). I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you and Chris get a great place with a killer kitchen!

I feel honored to have visited the birthplace of so many amazing looking dishes… my thoughts are with you during the transition, and of course… looking forward to seeing the new place some day! WHEREVER you and Chris end up will be good (except maybe that one apartment Hannikins had that apparently was trying to kill her. try to avoid that place, ok?)

Ahh, apartment kitchens…let’s see. Our first real place (nevermind where I lived in college) had a “large” kitchen with a bitty oven, fridge that opened the wrong way (into the wall and not the room), roaches, no dishwasher, etc. Our next place had a larger kitchen, no counter space, and an oven from 1965 that was soon replaced.

We now have my best kitchen ever, although the fridge makes me crazy (double door that is up against a wall).
