My phone has been ringing off and on over the past couple of hours, alternating between pollsters and distraught Dr. Who fans passing along the David Tennant news. My wife is the Dr. Who fan in the family, but I have liked the new series, particularly DT's take on the Doctor. When someone mentioned that he had left the series in part to play Hamlet for the Royal Shakespeare Company, Karen responded, "What! He gave up Dr. Who to play Hamlet. What was he thinking?"

By the way, I think there's a science fiction museum in the vicinity of the Space Needle, so if you need a place to mourn the loss of DT, check it out (I believe it has Captain Kirk's chair from the Enterprise on display).
