I bought a purple coat from JCrew at the end of last season for 40% off and I totally love it. It doesn’t necessarily keep me super warm like my down puffer LLBean one, but it is perfect for Chicago Fall’s or when I need to get dressed up for the winter.

I think a purple coat is a great investment!

Hi, I found your listing because I too was looking for a similar J.Crew pea coat. I called the company at 1-800-562-0258 and found out that although my coat was removed from the website, they will be getting a small number in on November 24th, and they will ship it then. I’m with you…purple has been my favorite color since I was a kid. I go back and forth every once in a while on maybe picking a new favorite color…red and blue are always top options…but I still love purple. It just makes me feel happy and cozy all at once.

However, I NEVER buy purple clothes. Then just the other day, I bought an adorable purple shirt. When I put it on, I thought,”Damn Abbey! You look good in purple!” So needless to say I went out and bought two more purple shirts just this week. But they have to be a deep royal purple…no lavender for me…that washes me out.

PS I’ll keep an eye out for your coat at my local J. Crews because I think all of your internal arguments are totally valid!

that coat comes in purple, and it’s only $58. I also think Target & Old Navy have peacoat-styles in purple, just shorter in length.
